Professor Ary: Visual Routine Support
Create calm picture routines, show Now and Next, and make time visible. The core app works offline without an account or ads.
Get started
- Open Routines and choose a template or create a routine.
- Add, reorder, or edit the visual steps.
- Choose Start. The child view shows the current and next step.
- Use the grown-up control to pause, add or subtract a minute, end a timer early, skip a step, or end the routine.
You can also open First/Then for a quick two-step board.
Common questions
Does the app need an account or internet connection?
No. Free routines, timers, schedules, notifications, and recent history work locally without an account.
What is included in Free?
Free includes one child, two active routines with up to eight steps each, core templates and visual cues, First/Then, timers, local schedules and notifications, three days of visible history, limited custom photo and voice cues, and branded image/PDF export. Older local history stays stored even when it is not visible in Free.
What is included in Routines+?
Routines+ unlocks unlimited active routines and steps within fair-use limits, the complete visual library, multiple children, full history, more custom photos and recordings, premium exports, widgets, Live Activity, and enhanced shortcuts.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Settings → Routines+ → Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. See subscription and purchase help for trial, renewal, cancellation, and lifetime details.
How do timers stay accurate?
Timers use saved timestamps and pause intervals, not only an on-screen countdown. If the app closes or the device clock changes, reopen the routine and review the recovered timer. A grown-up can pause, resume, adjust by one minute, or end it early.
Why did a reminder not appear?
Check Settings → Notifications in the app and the device's notification settings. Focus modes and system scheduling can delay or suppress an alert. The app uses neutral lock-screen wording by default.
What does a routine share include?
Share a privacy-safe routine preview without including a child’s name, history, photos, or voice recordings.
How do I delete data?
Use Settings → Privacy and data.
Is this a behaviour or medical treatment tool?
No. Visual Routine is an organization and communication aid for caregiver-led use. It does not diagnose, treat, guarantee outcomes, replace supervision, or provide emergency alerts.
Accessibility
The app supports text alternatives for visual cues, VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type, increased contrast, reduced motion, and non-audio completion cues. If a screen is difficult to use with an assistive technology, please tell us the device, iOS version, app version, and screen involved. Do not send child names, photos, voice recordings, or routine details.
